Cuba Gooding, Jr. in JERRY MAGUIRE
Cuba Gooding, Jr has already racked up a number of impressive credits during his relatively brief career. He made his film debut as the star of writer/director John Singleton's searing coming-of-age drama BOYZ IN THE HOOD in 1991, and a year later Gooding was featured in the Oscar-nominated A FEW GOOD MEN alongside his fellow JERRY MAGUIRE star, Tom Cruise.

Gooding's other theatrical screen credits include GLADIATOR, JUDGMENT NIGHT, starring with Paul Hogan in LIGHTNING JACK and Jessica Lange in LOSING ISAIAH, and with Dustin Hoffman in last year's thriller OUTBREAK.

Gooding was honored as the NATO/Showest 1992 "Newcomer of the Year" for his performance in A FEW GOOD MEN. Gooding also earned rave reviews and a NAACP Image Award nomination for his portrayal of a 17-year-old high school student in BOYZ IN THE HOOD.

Gooding segued directly from JERRY MAGUIRE into another James L. Brooks production, starring with Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt and Greg Kinnear in OLD FRIENDS, which Brooks directs.
